Factors or causes causing bad breath
- Poor Dental Hygiene: this is one of the common causes of halitosis. Dental hygiene has a long way to go in keeping your dental health and preventing bad breath. Not brushing your teeth can develop bacteria in your teeth. Your tongue can also trap bacteria that would produce orders if you have dentures; they need cleaning regularly; should avoid the accumulation of food within the pockets.
- Medications: some of the medications also cause bad breath. Is there a medication that you regularly take if yes, make sure that you mention this to your dentist to get to know if that’s the cause.
- Infections in your mouth: any infection in the mouth should need priority treatment. Mouth-related infections can be a severe cause of halitosis.
- Other causes: There can be other causes of bad breath such as some disease or maybe a metabolic disorder that can also cause distinctive breath due to the chemicals produced by stomach acids. Bad breath in infants and kids can also happen of a food particle stuck in the nostril.
